HKCCSE brings Nordic Future Health Pavilion to Hong Kong, connecting Nordic life science innovation with Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area
Around 10 Nordic life science companies and organisations will come together at the Nordic Future Health Pavilion at BIOHK 2026, taking place from 9-12 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Pavilion is an initiative of the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Sweden (HKCCSE) and builds on the Chamber’s collaboration with HKBIO, the organiser of BIOHK. HKCCSE is a co-organizer of BIOHK 2026, creating a platform for Nordic companies and organisations to connect with investors, researchers, healthcare providers and strategic partners in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
The initiative is supported by the Consulate General of Sweden in Hong Kong and AstraZeneca Hong Kong.
The Pavilion, located beside the BIOHK main stage, will showcase Nordic capabilities spanning biotechnology, advanced therapeutics, cell therapy, pharmaceutical development, digital health and other areas of healthcare innovation.
“Our ambition is to build a long-term bridge between the Nordic and Hong Kong life science ecosystems,” said Dr Eric Zhang, Chairman of the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Sweden.
“BIOHK provides an important platform for Nordic companies to connect with Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area bringing together innovation, research, investment and healthcare expertise and helping turn these connections into concrete collaboration.”
Strengthening Sweden-Hong Kong Life Science Connections
The Consulate General of Sweden in Hong Kong is supporting the Nordic Future Health Pavilion and participating Swedish companies and organisations.
“Hong Kong is an important gateway to Asia and the Greater Bay Area, and we believe there is considerable potential to deepen the bilateral relationship between Sweden and Hong Kong in life sciences and healthcare,” said Louise Bergholm, Consul General of Sweden in Hong Kong.
“By creating opportunities for companies, researchers, healthcare professionals and public-sector representatives to meet, exchange knowledge and explore collaboration, we can build stronger and more meaningful connections for the future.”
Nordic Innovation Meets Hong Kong
Participating companies reflect the breadth of Nordic life science innovation.
Anocca is developing precision T-cell receptor-engineered T-cell therapies targeting difficult-to-treat cancers, while NextCell Pharma is developing stromal cell therapies for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
ExpreS2ion Biotechnologies is advancing cancer immunotherapy and vaccine technologies. Keeada Health and SoftMed bring expertise in digital and mobile health solutions, Veltio Pharma contributes pharmaceutical development and formulation expertise, and UVEO develops UV-C disinfection technology for safer indoor environment.
Together, the participating companies span biotechnology, therapeutic development, cell therapy, pharmaceutical innovation, digital health and patient-focused solutions.
Lucy Robertshaw, Board Member of HKCCSE, has been appointed Project Lead for the Nordic Future Health Pavilion. The Pavilion is project-managed by LucyJRobertshaw AB.
“There has never been a better time to bring Nordic and Hong Kong healthcare leaders together,” Robertshaw said.
“These meetings can help turn shared knowledge into partnerships, investment and better solutions for patients.”
West Meets East
The Pavilion programme will include the West Meets East Forum on Friday, 11 September, exploring what Nordic and Asian healthcare ecosystems can learn from one another.
The Pavilion will also contribute to the public-facing Life & Health Festival on Saturday, 12 September, bringing healthcare innovation closer to the public and encouraging conversations around prevention, diagnostics, healthy ageing and the future of healthcare.
