DESCRIPTION:September 4th we met with SAS at the HiltonKnowlton Strategies office in central Stockholm to hear what Hong Kong has to offer when it comes to gastronomy. Cilla and the team of creative talent works in the field of window display\, installation\, fashion shows\, scenography and set design. The studios style and strong character are based on playful approach to the otherwise strict and detached fashion world. JoAnn Tan Studio is responsible for Nordiska Kompaniet\, Hermès\, Excelsior\, Fendi and DFS department store in Venice\, Paris and Hong Kong to mention some. The studio has created a name as one of fashion’s most respected and renowned window design. Latest highlighted in a new launch from DieGestaltenVerlag ”Shoplifter”. \n“They has a wonderful sense of humour\, the curiosity of a child\, but also an analytical\, conceptual approach to the installation design. They know how to deconstruct\, juxtaposes\, inter-twin.” \nAndrew Mead is a British architect who has a long history of artistic design and decoration for metro systems around the world. At MTR in Hong Kong he plans for an artist exchange program between the countries MTR operates in\, for example Stockholm. SUMMARY:Chinese New Year celebration in Stockholm
DESCRIPTION:On the 6th of February the traditional Chinese New Year Celebration will be held in Stockholm to kick off the Year of the Dog. \nThe evening begins at 17:30 with a seminar in the auditorium where Ms Priscilla To\, Director-General of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office\, London of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government; Mr William Chui\, Regional Director Europe of Hong Kong Trade Development Council; and Mr Rasmus Rahm\, Chairman of Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Sweden will introduce the latest development in Hong Kong as well as business opportunities between Hong Kong and Sweden. \nMs Gill Meller\, Legal and European Business Director of MTR Corporation Limited will tell us about MTR and its establishment in Sweden while Ms Marie Tell\, Administrative Director\, Ming Wai Lau Center for Reparative Medicine\, Karolinska Institut will share the story of Karolinska Institutet and its establishment in Hong Kong. Mr Anders Wahlström\, Head of Sales Sweden & Finland at SAS will share their insight behind their investment in the direct route to Hong Kong. DESCRIPTION:Hong Kong rapidly evolves into the leading hub of East Asia in a large number of key areas\, and is among the top five in the world in banking\, design\, research\, education and innovation\, but also tourism. Hong Kong is also an entrance to China as well as a center in the Great Bay Area. \nThis summer\, the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Sweden (HKCCSE) was launched\, which is part of a network of about 40 similar organisations throughout the world. HKCCSE can be seen as a sign of Hong Kong’s growing importance and also with the establishment of a chapter in southern Sweden (HKCCSE-South). \nA few months ago\, the GoFood 2017 conference in Lund was organized with Hong Kong as a partner\, at the same time DISH (Denmark\, Italy\, Sweden\, Hong Kong) was formed. We are now working on establishing DISH as a global player in food safety. \nCooperation with Hong Kong continues and increases. SUMMARY:Annual delegation trip to Hong Kong 2016
DESCRIPTION:The annual delegation trip to Hong Kong arranged by the Royal Sweden Hong Kong Business Council (RSHKBC) took place between 26 Nov to 3 Dec 2016 and was led by HRH Princess Birgitta of Sweden. RSHKBC specially welcomed a group of students and directors from Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship\, who visited Business of Design Week\, the Hong Kong Forum and as well the exhibitions of World SME Expo and Inno Design Tech. \n \nA special study tour was made to the Vocational Training Council (VTC) which is the largest vocational and professional education and training provider in Hong Kong. Among the offered programmes at VTC are Design\, Engineering\, Hotel\, Service & Tourism Studies. \n \nThe Consulate General of Sweden in Hong Kong together with the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong arranged a reception during the delegation week at Mettā\, which provides a platform for start-ups and multinationals to network and collaborate. \n\n \nCopyright: Consulate General of Sweden in Hong Kong \n\nIn addition\, several meetings were arranged with stakeholders in Hong Kong\, such as mr Ming Wai Lau which during 2015 donated 50 MUSD to Karolinska Institutet for research purposes.
