The Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Sweden (HKCCSE) and the Uppsala Innovation Centre (UIC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing an in-kind ecosystem collaboration to strengthen innovation collaboration between Sweden and Hong Kong.

The collaboration creates a framework for closer cooperation in promoting Sweden’s innovation ecosystem internationally, with particular relevance for life science, green technology, deep tech and innovation-driven companies.

Under the agreement, the two organisations will collaborate on a best-efforts basis in strategic areas, including ecosystem promotion, structured introductions between startups and investors, joint visibility, selected delegations, and innovation-related exchange activities.

Eric Zhang, Chairman of HKCCSE, said:

“This partnership reflects a shared ambition to build stronger bridges between Sweden and Hong Kong in innovation, entrepreneurship and international growth. Uppsala represents one of Sweden’s most dynamic innovation environments, and UIC plays a highly respected role in helping innovative companies scale internationally. Through this collaboration, we hope to create new connections that benefit both ecosystems over time.”

Wing Cheng,, Senior Business Developer Life Science of UIC said:

“”We are very excited by the collaboration between UIC and the HKCCSE. This will create concrete opportunities for Swedish deep-tech and life-science companies to accelerate their international expansion and establish a presence in Asia.
